In case you have a tripod, try using manual focus when you shoot with super-macro.

Once I managed to get a house-fly (which is more agile compared to a mosquito) in super-macro mode.

It was a real lazy house-fly! ;)

Nice shots but I believe you should really crop the mosquito shot and get the mosquito near one of the four corners, preferably the lower left that would remove the clutter of the background leaves and the mosquito will be more pronounced
