Dragonfly Dearest
Seeing this picture, I can't help but get reminded of a set of snaps I took a month ago -
When you see a really good macro shot, you never get to find out the effort that went into the photo (just like software, might I say?) - in my case, I had to wait in my garden for three-fourths of an hour one (very) sunny afternoon, waiting for Dragonfly Dearest to settle down on a Tulsi (Holy Basil) plant. And when that finally happened, the wind God decided that it was too easy and brought in some breeze, and Dragonfly Dearest took off again. This took place in rather irritable cycles when finally, there was this one perfect moment and 'click' went my camera.

Superb shot! I love the colour mix. The translucency of the wings of the dragon fly is amazing.
Woaw. I wouldn't have had that patience, and my hand would've shook way much more...
Maybe you've answered this elsewhere, but: What camera do you use?
I use a Samsung Digimax UCA -5. It's a typical point n shoot camera.
That is mind blowing, WOW. I wish I had that kinda patience. Amazing colors that is what makes this way way better than this.
very cool. Dragon fly flaps the 4 wings in 2 different directions which is unique (IINR) and capturing all four wings is truly awesome.

Have been trying out macro mode on stationery objects so far, am yet to try it on a moving subject. 45 minutes seems like a lot of hardwork and patience (determination too) :)
